The area is rich in history and it is an antique addict’s dream. The huge George Washington National Forest is nearby, and Bryce Mountain Ski Resort is only 40 minutes away. The breathtaking views of Skyline Drive are also about a 45 minute drive. For the serious fisherman, the Retreat is equidistant between the Shenandoah River and the Cacapon River in West Virginia.
There is a surprising variety of choices for restaurants in the area, all no more than a half hour drive, from a multi-star French restaurant to Chinese, Indian to Italian, Virginia country cooking to pizza parlors. Or… request a Japanese home-style meal cooked by the Floyds during your stay. If interested, please inquire at the time of booking.
Because restaurants change frequently, we no longer post them. We are always happy to help with recommendations!
