Welcome to Pembroke Springs Retreat!
Sadly, due to concerns about COVID-19, the bed & breakfast is closed! We feel that this is the most socially responsible course of action for our Guests, team, and family. We hope to begin a soft re-opening in September with “Phase 1”. The goal is to maintain most previous services without Guest contact, so we will be accepting one group booking of all 5 rooms (10 Guests). THE RESERVATIONS FOR SEPTEMBER ARE FILLED, THANK YOU! WE WILL CONTINUE THIS FORMAT FOR OCTOBER. As this is a new and temporary concept, we are omitting details from the site. We miss our Guests, our life, and the joy that the B&B brought to everyone. We hope to return to “Phase 3”, we know that things will never be the same, but it means hosting our Guests as we did before.
Escape to peace and tranquility in the Shenandoah ValleyPembroke Springs Retreat is indeed a very special place.
We are located on a 175 acres of natural forest. Our two large Japanese baths (ofuros) which you are invited to enjoy are fed by our natural spring waters. Guests can also fish for bass and bluegill at the well-stocked pond. For those who love nature walks, several miles of easy, well-marked hiking trails twist around the property.
The Retreat is situated at the base of the Great North Mountain in the Northwestern part of the Shenandoah Valley. We feature an expansive field with a stream, a pond and our springs. Both native and migratory wild life is abundant and the views are spectacular at all times of the year.
This is not the typical Virginia bed & breakfast. Ours has a Japanese theme throughout the inn. If you are looking for a historic mansion with a fireplace and a canopy bed in your room, we are not the place for you. However, if you have always wanted to visit Japan or you are interested in having a cultural experience surrounded by nature, you will enjoy your time with us!
Our bed & breakfast is considered a “hobby business”.
Do to our lifestyle, we are NOT open 7 days a week. We also host private parties. PLEASE CALL BEFORE LEAVING to see if we are open for a site visit.
Please refrain from calling after 8:30 pm.
We appreciate your thoughtfulness.
